About

Dominic Townsend Presenting

Pragmatic, Agile, Lean.

A senior product and technology leader driving the shift that matters most in the AI era: transforming engineers into product builders. Across hi-tech industries including SaaS, networking, medical imaging, energy systems and industrial controls; I've led teams from delivery-focused execution to outcome-focused product leadership, bridging people, process and product to deliver meaningful value to customers and stakeholders.

My approach is grounded in what I call Pragilism: a combination of PRagmatic, AGIle, and Lean, combined with Design Thinking and a Product Operating Model. Not frameworks followed blindly, but tools applied with intent; the right lever, at the right moment, for the right problem. I've led software, hardware, firmware and embedded systems functions, coached cross-functional teams in modern development methods, and partnered with executive leadership on organisational design and transformation in regulated environments..

Driven by continuous learning and evidence-based decision-making, I specialise in building and coaching empowered product teams. Fostering the autonomy, accountability and product mindset that the AI-first world demands. I thrive on complex challenges, and I'm passionate about preparing engineering leaders for what comes next..
